My intention was to create a striking interplay of contrasts, both in color temperature and texture. The pronounced horizontal division guides the eye across the composition, evoking a strong sense of place without the need for literal representation. Created with acrylic paints and oil pastels on a cradled wood panel, framed in a wood floater frame.
